When is a smoking room not a smoking room? When it’s the stylish outdoor (yet indoor) smokers area at the well known Bredbury Hall in Bredbury which looks nothing like some of the smoking rooms you see around…
Belvedere House is a prestigious commercial development in the centre of Manchester.
Developed by Wilson Bowden, Cheadle Glass were contracted to supply and install glass cladding to the ground and first floor lift areas using the distinctive Lava Red from the AGC Lacobel range of products. In addition, we clad all the washroom areas with Lacobel, installed mirrors and provided a bespoke painted glass base for all the washbowls throughout the seven storey development.
This is a highly sophisticated office building incorporating a vast amount of glass. Cheadle Glass designed, produced and installed the ‘glass box’ entrance complete with canopy as well as internal glazed screening. Of particular interest is the large glass door produced out of a shaped piece of glass and secured with decorative stainless steel hinges.
This project was awarded to Cheadle Glass by the main contractor on the project, office fit out and refurbishment specialist, Overbury PLC. Cheadle Glass fitted in excess of 100 windows and doors to the building, which was also being fully refurbished, with the new glazing delivering a significant increase in thermal efficiency.
Following completion, the team from Cheadle Glass were described as having done a great job, successfully completing the project to exacting standards and within the time frame agreed. The project was judged against a list of categories from design through environmental to time keeping, site attitude and O&M.
