As part of the companys strategic plans for growth, Stockport based Cheadle Glass has appointed well known glass industry figure, Steve Dakin, as sales manager.
The new role sees Steve returning to his glass processing roots and he will be responsible for developing new markets for Cheadle Glass whilst taking full control of the sales function. Steve previously spent 10 years in the glass processing industry and was most recently with glass surface protection specialists, Ritec, as business development manager.
Cheadle Glass was founded 42 years ago and remains a privately owned business, headed up by Keith Flowers. The company has grown organically and has built a reputation as a quality supplier based on their passion for the glass industry and strong customer service ethos, coupled with an ability to create ever more innovative designs with glass.
Commenting on Steves appointment, Keith said: We have made significant investments in the business over the last few years, most notably an extension to our factory plus new technology and machinery. In order to keep developing and growing the business we need to take full advantage of the resource we have, which of course includes our highly skilled workforce, and Steve will help us to do just that.
Commenting on his new role, Steve said: Cheadle Glass is well respected in the industry and I am looking forward to developing Keiths vision for the business as we take it into the next decade. The skills, know-how and technology available here are second to none and I am looking forward to working with the team to help make the business even more successful.
