Sparkling performance

The Cheadle Glass teamA team of 16 employees from Cheadle Glass are celebrating their successful completion of the Glass Qualifications Authority NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) certificate.

NVQs are based on national standards for various occupations and are skill based practical and work-related.

Twelve team members achieved NVQ Level 2 in Fenestration Installation and a further four members achieved NVQ Level 3 in Fenestration Installation and Surveying. The courses, delivered by Internal Verification Services Ltd., cover all aspects of glazing, installation and glass processing.

Alan Aspey, External Verifier for the GQA presented the certificates to the team and he explained why they are so important, “Congratulations must go to all the team at Cheadle Glass on their success and for all their hard work. These vocational qualifications are extremely important in maintaining a highly skilled workforce who are experienced and qualified in what they do. The outstanding reputation of Cheadle Glass as specialists in their field is built upon the quality and the ability of the team.”

Cheadle Glass was formed in 1968 as glass cutters and merchants and today operates a highly sophisticated glass processing business supplying high-end bespoke glass products working alongside architects, designers and developers. The company also supplies and installs windows and doors to both the New Build and Replacement Market for both Residential and Commercial Projects. In addition they offer a specialist design and installation service for conservatories.
