Traditional Wallcoverings with an unusual twist

Glass Wallpaper
Wallpaper collections are normally on paper aren’t they? Well usually they are but now there is a fantastic new take on the traditional paper format, with the creation of luxurious wallcoverings…in glass!

Cheadle Glass in collaboration with Grafton Interiors saw the launch of this new concept which was held at a private trade preview at The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester.

The collections cover a variety of processes from designs printed onto glass, sand blasted designs and deep etched designs onto toughened coloured glass to form a unique wallcovering with a stunning blend of modern and traditional Chinese influences.

Keith Flowers, the Managing Director of Cheadle Glass, has been working with glass for many years and is always keen to innovate and push the boundaries of what can be done with glass. Because of this, Keith was delighted to attend and support the preview of such an innovative use of glass.

Keith explained, “We were delighted to work with this idea for alternative wallcoverings and the collections on display at the gallery looked amazing. The look combined the contemporary feel of glass with traditional designs and the size and scale of the wallcoverings make a fabulous look in any room for either home or commercial use. You can even just select a design on glass as a single feature piece or you can cover a whole wall.”
