Glass Walls & Internal Glazed Screens

DescriptionInstallationSupplySitework

Cheadle Glass designs, manufactures and installs glass walls, also referred to as internal glazed screens, for a broad range of commercial applications including offices, retail and healthcare. They also supply internal glazed screens to the domestic market.

The use of internal glazed screens can greatly enhance an interior space by bringing in additional light and creating a sense of open space.

Glass walls can be used to create a stylish and contemporary interior and offer a flexible solution. They can be used to great effect to create new rooms or divide an existing space. Internal glazed screens can also be used to create corridors.

Apart from the aesthetic qualities of glass, internal glazed screens are easy to fit with minimum disruption and they can also be dismantled and re-erected should it be necessary to reconfigure the office space.

As a leading processor and installer of glass and glazing products based in the North West, Cheadle Glass can provide advice for BS regulations using performance software.

Cheadle Glass can engineer and install glass wall solutions for security, sound insulation (acoustic glass) and they also fit a range of pyro glasses for fire protection.

Description

Cheadle Glass fits single-glazed internal glazed screens using 10mm or 12mm toughened safety glass.

For commercial applications Cheadle Glass uses glass doors with a concealed, self-closing floor spring which is situated in the floor under each door.

Maximum dimensions for each panel:

Height: 2900mm
Width: Typically 1200mm but up to 1600mm

Internal glazed screens are available in a range of finishes including:

We can offer sandblasted panels or privacy bands to suit the customers requirements or a vinyl film can be applied after the glass has been installed.

Cheadle Glass recommends a Ritec coating to protect the surface of the glass and prevent marks plus Ritec coating allows for easy cleaning.

All laminated and toughened glass complies with all British Standards and Building Regulations. The Cheadle Glass team can advise on the options available for a particular application and will consider building use, traffic flow and type plus fire and acoustic requirements.

Our specifiers will ensure that screens withstand appropriate design loads – horizontal uniform load (line load), uniformly distributed load (UDL) and point load.
